About Us

John and Mary Ann Carney have been operating the studio in Woodstock, Georgia since 1987. John, an award-winning photographer, and his wife Mary Ann are active in the Georgia Professional Photographers Association, the Professional Photographers of America, the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association, and Senior Photographers International.

Carney Studio specializes in family, senior and children’s portraiture. Along with an expressive and creative style, the studio offers a variety of backgrounds, sets and outdoor locations.

Elbows and Toes, a special black and white session for newborns, highlights those tiny hands, fingers, feet, toes, etc. Babies three months and older can begin the Cradle Club program. This program offers four sessions which show the child’s progression throughout their first year. Kids Klub is an album program offered for toddlers and older children. Carney Studio also features specialized family sessions to capture the essence of each family.
